Product Marketing Manager (Product & Portfolio Strategy) – Remote
As a Product Marketing Manager at Arrowhead, you will sit at the intersection of product development, sales, operations, and market demand. Your mission is to ensure our product portfolio is competitive, profitable, and aligned with what our customers and channels actually need.
This role is less about traditional marketing execution and more about owning the product lifecycle—from market insight and concept development through launch, optimization, and rationalization. You will analyze sales performance, guide product roadmaps, partner closely with engineering and manufacturing, and help define which products we build, improve, or retire.

What You Will Do
Product & Portfolio Ownership
- Own the product lifecycle across assigned categories, from concept to end-of-life.
- Analyze sales data, margins, and channel performance to guide portfolio decisions.
- Lead SKU rationalization efforts to simplify offerings, improve profitability, and support operational efficiency.
Voice of Customer & Market Insight
- Gather and synthesize Voice of the Customer (VOC) from sales teams, distributors, contractors, and end users.
- Translate market needs into clear product opportunities and roadmap recommendations.
- Understand how customers evaluate, specify, and purchase plumbing and irrigation products.
Product Development Partnership
- Work closely with Product Engineering and Manufacturing to define requirements, specifications, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Create and maintain Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) and product briefs.
- Ensure new products align with Arrowhead’s performance, durability, compliance, and brand standards.
Go-To-Market & Launch Leadership
- Define go-to-market strategies for new and existing products in collaboration with sales and marketing communications.
- Collaborate on cross-functional product launch planning and execution (product, sales, operations, marketing, customer service).
Cross-Functional Project Management
- Act as the central coordinator between sales, engineering, operations, quality, and marketing.
- Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables across multiple product initiatives.
- Balance technical feasibility, market demand, and business objectives.
Competitive & Industry Intelligence
- Maintain deep knowledge of competitor products, positioning, and portfolio strategies.
- Monitor industry trends in plumbing, valves, irrigation, and manufacturing standards.
- Use insights to inform product improvements and future development.
What You Bring
Experience & Background
- 3+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, product development, or portfolio management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience working with physical products, ideally in plumbing, valves, irrigation, HVAC, or building materials.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations teams.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with experience using sales and product performance data to guide decisions.
- Solid understanding of product lifecycle management and SKU optimization.
- Experience creating product requirements, roadmaps, and launch plans.
- Project management experience across multiple stakeholders and timelines.
- Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts into practical business decisions.
- Comfortable presenting to internal teams and facilitating discussions across departments.
Preferred
- Manufacturing or plumbing industry experience.
- Familiarity with regulatory, certification, or compliance requirements related to plumbing or building products.
- Experience supporting distributor or wholesale sales channels.
