Champion Irrigation Products Inside Sales and Support Associate
INSIDE SALES AND SUPPORT ASSOCIATE
Champion Irrigation, an established manufacturer of high-quality plumbing and irrigation products, is looking to add an experienced inside sales associate who can manage and serve our growing retail business sector. The Inside Sales and Support Associate will grow designated accounts while supporting the field retail sales team in all aspects of retail sales: order entry, invoicing, shipment notifications, exhibitions, customer complaints, returns, and claims. The inside sales associate will work closely with our field sales team to provide customers with quality service and consistently contribute to the company’s reputation. The ideal candidate should have experience in an inside sales role, customer service, and the Retail B2B space. The candidate must be a self-starter, motivated, and able to problem-solve to resolve customer needs effectively. This position will report to the Retail National Sales Manager. Infrequent travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow assigned customer accounts.
- Acts as a liaison between the retail and wholesale customers and Champion Irrigation.
- Answer incoming calls and emails efficiently and effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
- Take an active role in developing the company’s relationship with retail and wholesale accounts.
- Assist the operations & sales team by providing sales forecasts and retail activity reports.
- Assist the National Sales Manager with tasks as required.
- Develop and maintain industry-specific prospect and contact lists.
- Develop knowledge of product lines and provide support to customers when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous inside sales experience is required.
- Previous customer service experience (2 years, minimum)
- Permanent residence with a dedicated & quiet workspace.
- Must be a self-starter, quick learner, and detail-oriented.
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional communication, both verbal and written.
- Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is a plus but not required.
Work Environment:
- An employee in this position typically works in an office environment with a controlled climate. This position is currently remote. It will be an office-based position when the manufacturing and warehouse facility construction is complete within the year in Olive Branch, MS.
